Alyssa Wesley

Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor - (SUDRC-1)

Alyssa is currently nearing completion of her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is passionate about supporting individuals in creating meaningful, values-driven change in their lives. Through her work in behavioral health and previous experience as a college admissions counselor in Hawaii, she developed a deep appreciation for walking alongside people during periods of uncertainty, growth, and transition. Having also worked in recovery settings, Alyssa recognizes that healing often extends beyond symptom reduction and includes reconnecting with identity, relationships, and a renewed sense of meaning.

Alyssa takes a collaborative, client-centered approach and values creating a supportive space where individuals feel safe, seen, and empowered to engage authentically in the therapeutic process. Her work is informed by trauma-informed and strengths-based perspectives and draws from ACT, DBT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, and somatic approaches. She believes meaningful change begins with understanding each person’s story, cultivating awareness of internal experiences, and clarifying values that support intentional action. Through this process, she aims to help clients build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and develop practical tools that foster long-term wellness and sustainable growth.

Outside of counseling, Alyssa enjoys spending quality time with her husband and loved ones. Whether it’s a movie night at home, exploring a new beach, or enjoying a good meal together, she values creating memories and embracing new experiences with the people closest to her.
