Maria Sosa

Director of Outreach

Maria Sosa is the Outreach Director at Shanti Recovery & Wellness, where she leads strategic partnerships, community engagement, and referral network development to expand access to behavioral health and substance use treatment services across California.

With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare outreach, business development, and community relations, Maria is dedicated to improving health outcomes for underserved populations. She has extensive experience building collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, managed care organizations, county agencies, and various community-based organizations.

Maria holds degrees in Human Resources from San Diego State University and Public Health from Capella University. She is a California Certified Community Health Worker and a licensed Medicare professional with expertise in Medi-Cal, care coordination, and community resource navigation.

As a bilingual English and Spanish professional, Maria is passionate about creating equitable access to care through culturally responsive outreach. Her grassroots approach is rooted in compassion and meeting individuals where they are to support long-term wellness and lasting change.
