Dr. Urvi Natha Founder & CEO

Dr. Urvi Natha has her doctorate in clinical psychology and has worked at some of the top luxury addiction treatment centers in the country. She has had the pleasure of treating clients, executives, entertainment industry folks from across the U.S. and abroad. She brings 15 years of clinical experience in areas of addiction and dual diagnosis. She is passionate about the care individuals receive and recognized a need for continuing care that fits into every-day life. We offer our program virtually to help people continue recovery from the comfort of their homes or offices. She has developed the clinical program at Shanti and provides leadership and direction to all aspects of the program operations.

Dr. Duel Medical Director

Dr. Duel is board certified in General Adult Psychiatry and has experience in providing psychiatric treatment for the full scope of mental health disorders. He also has a special interest in Addiction/Substance Use Disorders and has successfully helped many struggling with use disorders overcome their struggles through therapy, medication management, and lifestyle optimization. As Medical Director of an outpatient addiction clinic, he created and led a clinical team of counselors, therapists, case managers, and nurse practitioners to provide clients with wraparound care addressing both addiction and mental health disorders. He has also worked as an Adult Psychiatrist in the Los Angeles area through various community clinics serving patients on Medi-Cal and those suffering from severe mental illnesses.

Dr. Duel is a UCLA Bruin through and through. He obtained his bachelors in Psychobiology at UCLA, completed medical school at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and completed his psychiatry residency training at UCLA. Through his training at UCLA, Dr. Duel also worked at the West Los Angeles VA, trained in TMS, and trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety, mood, and sleep disorders. He has extensive pharmacologic experience treating complex mood, psychosis, OCD, anxiety, and geriatric disorders.

In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, traveling, and spending time with family. He is also fluent in Farsi.

Alpa Patel Director of
Admissions & Outreach

Alpa brings over 16+ years of experience in business development. She is passionate about helping those in recovery find lasting sobriety and inner peace. Alpa aims to help each individual on their path to recovery by assisting each client connect with the care they need. She will help you every step of the way in connecting you, the client, with the right treatment options to meet your individual needs. Alpa aims to remove the logistical barriers that prevent individuals from seeking treatment.

Rachel Querry, LCSW Clinical Director

Rachel Querry is a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on Integrated Health from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Communication Studies from Chapman University. Rachel is certified in EMDR and licensed through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). With over nine years of experience in mental health and seven years specializing in substance use and co-occurring disorders, she has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including psychiatric care. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as DBT, CBT, EMDR, and Person-Centered Therapy. Rachel believes in building a strong therapeutic connection and takes a holistic, individualized approach to support each client’s healing journey. In addition to her clinical work, Rachel supervises intern therapists and enjoys mentoring the next generation of clinicians. Outside of work, she loves hiking, biking, dancing, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Jordana Reim Wellness Director

Jordana Reim is a dedicated wellness expert, coach, and meditation instructor with a deep passion for holistic well-being. After an accomplished career as an award-winning Executive Producer in New York and Los Angeles, Jordana transitioned into the wellness space, feeling called to help others find fulfillment and balance. Her journey has taken her to sacred healing destinations across Thailand, India, Nepal, and Bhutan, where she has honed her practice in mindfulness, sound healing, and well-being.

Jordana has extensive experience leading wellness programs for organizations and individuals alike, including high-profile companies such as Spotify, HBO, and Capital One. She is also the co-founder of Peace Inside Live, a platform supporting mental health and personal growth, where she was recognized at NASDAQ’s Opening Bell for her contributions to mental health awareness.

As the founder of Sukha Sound Singing Bowls & Meditation, Jordana offers training in the therapeutic use of Nepalese singing bowls and provides tools for sound healing practices. She is the author of *Inner Peace: A Guided Meditation Journal for Beginners* and co-author of *The JOMO Journal: A Daily Practice for the Joy of Missing Out*.

Jordana’s approach to wellness is rooted in her belief in the power of mindfulness, community, and compassionate guidance. She continues to lead transformational retreats in the Himalayas, offering clients the chance to reconnect with themselves and experience profound personal renewal.

Melissa LaLande Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-III)

Melissa LaLande graduated from Tulsa University in 2009 with an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a primary focus on trauma and abnormal psychology. Working as an undergraduate in a graduate dream and nightmare lab, researching the connection between dreams and trauma, her major influencer became Carl Jung. Melissa then received her CADC-III in 2021, as her interest in substance abuse in relation to internal family systems and trauma became a primary focus. Melissa’s major influencers are Carl Jung and Marsha Linehan, going through a 2 year DBT program herself in order to explore DBT and practice the principles and skills in order to better teach others. Melissa is deeply invested in addiction and mental health studies as well as continuing her learning and keeping up with new advancements in the research of trauma-focused care in relation to addiction.
